Updates!

So hw's my work so far? Workload is pretty heavy and i have this feeling dat one of the seniors is rather keen on teaching me her stuff cos she may resign anytime. Looks like there's no-one who's willing to take on her stuff as most of the ppl there are married with kids with no intention of learning anything new and moving forward, dat kind of thing? They are mostly contented with wat they are doing and new stuff bores them.

Oh yes, once again, im the youngest there. And im already 23. Ppl there r very frenly and nice and when they see me, they always ask me hw's work and if im able to cope. They dun push u to learn millions of new stuff in one day so dat u can help them but instead, juz slowly guide until i get the gist. It's rather different from CPF where the ppl there are desperate for a helping hand but there's simply no time to teach the newbies. So poor newbies are thrown into the sea & they have to learn hw to swim themselves. It attributes to the ever high turn-over rate but wat to do?

The DPPs (Deputy Public Prosecutors) there r quite frenly too. Most are young chaps who r married with young kids but they r always in the office at 7.30am! Work is highly stressed for them but i guess for the pay they r getting...ehhh...no pain no gain lar hor? LOL

The best thing is, they dun ever have to fret over wat to wear cos its always white shirt, black jacket. Female DPPs the same, white shirt, black jacket. Its amazing wat a black jacket can do to a person's appearance!! There's this one goofy DPP who's always fooling around. He once bought a catapult & started attacking the aunties making them scream and run about the cramped plc!!!

I saw him and he had uncombed hair and was grinning like a madman when he approached his 'targets' with his catapult. Then later in the day, b4 he left the office to the courts, he combed his hair and put on his jacket and wow!!! He instantly became a scholar lookablike (he put on his specs but duno for wat), like a clean-cut looking young man with a high flying career!!! But no-one on the streets will suspect dat he's actually known as a barbaric sicko who attacks his unsuspecting colleagues with catapult. Its amazing. Oh yes, he's married and i noe becos he's always toking abt his MIL in the office and his voice is so damn loud, can shake a whole building. The big boss always joke dat we no need fire alarm, if got fire, juz get him to stand at the window and holler.

Ok, had dinner last nite at Chris plc. A nice tomyam steamboat prepared by his bro and his wife. I was actually planning to eat out but Chris reminded me hw broke we both are and i started smelling the tomyam thingy and it smelt so nice i decide to stay for dinner, LOL. His mum asked me to stay overnite & she asked why i have to go back since its rather inconvenient for me. Yes, its reali nice of her to ask despite everything. I tot she wun reali care if i stayed anot. Still, im gg to the Marriot for weddin dinner and im quite apprehensive abt gg alone. I dun wish to waste the angbao we've given plus his mum did mention its not nice to have empty chairs? We have a whole table to ourselves somemore. And till now, im still not very sure where the plc is, wuhahahaha~ Ok, XW mention dat the dessert at Marriot is bagus? Heee...me will eat Chris's share as well. Get the angbao's worth.

I stumbled upon the Loreal website and found some interesting facts about our skin!

One-fifth of the water content of an adult body is found in skin: from six to eight liters! This amount varies with age. 57% of this water is found in the derma, the other 13% is found in the epidermis.

Without our being aware of it, we lose 100 milliliters of water per day. That is what is called unfelt water loss. Through capillary evaporation, we lose 9 grams of water per square meter of skin every hour, without even knowing it.

80% to 95% of women have problems with cellulite. Isn’t that a comforting thought? We hope it relieves a little stress because that very stress is what generates hormonal discharges that, in turn, contribute to the growth of our “fat mattress”!

Why does the skin of overweight women look younger? Because there is some justice, after all. Kidding aside, the skin of these voluptuous women ages more slowly because of they have more fatty tissue. These fatty tissues transform the male hormones present in all women into estrogen and the more fatty tissues there are the more estrogen is produced. And since a lack of estrogen is what makes skin age more quickly, these women are fortunate in producing an abundance of nature’s own anti-aging hormone. In Italy, they have a wonderful saying about the skin of voluptuous women: When you gain weight, you polish your skin (far la pelle lustra). No wonder Fellini loved these round women and their smooth skin!

Between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, sebaceous glands are especially active. That’s when they secrete a maximum amount of sebum.

Black is Not Black. There are 34 different shades of African skin and only 10 different shades of Caucasian skin.

And its only today, then i realised all the following brands belong to the same company.

  • Garnier
  • Loreal
  • Maybelline
  • Lancome
  • Biotherm
  • Helena Rubinstein
  • Shu Uemura
  • Giorgio Armani
  • Ralph Lauren
  • Vichy
  • Redken
  • Kerastase

I'm impressed.

Post GE

Ehhh...isit too late to blog abt my feelings abt the GE? LOL

Ok, i noe i haven been bloggin for nearly a mth but then, im back!!! It was my 1st time having a say and well, 'sad' to say, me tog with 66% of the Singaporeans have decided to give PM Lee a 'strong' mandate. Hmm..to be honest, i did consider voting for the Worker's Party (shocked!!!). Not becos im unhapi with PAP but rather, im proud of the WP candidates who dare to step forward and give the residents of AMK GRC a choice. And wat a choice we have! When i received the WP brochure, i'm glad to see young peeps, not ah-beng-ah-seng old uncles who are rowdy in their speeches and holler instead of speaking in dignified manners. I mean, PM Lee would surely win (IMHO) so hw about voting for the WP as a form of encouragement? As a sign dat we singaporeans, do wan a good opposition as well.

I would rather think of the Opposition as an alternative voice rather than oppose the garmen for the sake of opposing!! @$#%@ Dats rather meaningless in my opinion. I hope the WP team will come back again for the next GE and we can all see wat they have to offer! So many ppl complain abt the garmen etc etc but if they think they can do a better job, why not step forward instead of using 'mouth power'? I admire them for their spirit and i do think if 100% of the Singaporeans vote for PAP, it'll be a disaster. We'll become gong4 chan2 dang3 u noe? Like last time China lidat? LOL~ Nono, having an opposition is a must. Its necessary..something like external audit u noe? Even our govt shld have an 'external audit'. Still, im glad the 1st Election i can vote in, is rather exciting and thought-provoking. Its an eye opener for me. After conversing with my new colleagues who live in Potong Pasir, i now understd much better abt their choice and am damn glad there r still ppl like them around. I mean, i used to live in Marine Parade where there arent lifts on every floor and i understd the inconvenience for the old folks and stuff. But i guess they noe dat upgrading will come sooner or later, its juz a matter of time (?) plus they r all sentimental ppl at heart, awww...

Im already looking forward to the next GE, LOL.
