Tiring

Went Jalan Besar & Balestier today & end up spending near 1k for our hob & hood and storage heater ;D Err...wanted to get the kitchen sink & tap as well but i need to consult my ID on the measurements 1st. Have placed a deposit of $100. Wuhahaha..abit little hor? But the shop owner doesnt mind & im glad we've gone to him cos he offers very good prices after much searching. Whew...we practically walked from 100 Jalan Besar to 390+. It wasen hot at all but it was enuf to tire us out cos its a headache having to go into shops, see+look, fend off over enthusiatic sales ppl & trying to figure out the truth. I'll most probably be gg back to the same shop to get my kitchen sink + tap. Great service, great prices. Too bad they do not sell fridge & washing machine else i may get it all from them.

Tried visiting one of the recommended shops to see wat they have but they r closed!!! A note says they r upgrading but they left their number in case anyone wants to call abt their products. Reali weird cos the auntie only called Chris a few days ago to offer their prices for the various products we need. Very gd prices for the fridge & washing machine & at 1st, wanted to get the hod+hood from then but heng heng today, found the above shop which offer even better prices. Wonder if i shld call them up to ask again...

Went Balestier to see the lights as well & met a very nice uncle who explained all abt lightings & also gave us a no obligation quote. We honestly told him our budget is low & he decided to offer better prices (which is almost the same as the Chelsea Lights we went at Chinese Garden mrt) but the best thing abt him is the service. We drew our ceiling designs & proposed lighting points & he gave practical advice & taught us abt the technical part of lightings. I din noe lightings are so complicated -_- Have not yet decided on this but i guess we do have some time to go search somemore. Cos we didnt have the time and energy to visit so many lighting shops at one go...

Abit disappointed with OCBC. Thou they offer lower interest rates, they actually require applicants to pay $200 should we decide not to take it up after the application is approved even if we have not signed any letter of offer. I called to cfm & they said its to prevent ppl from applying to multiple banks & to compensate the staff's effort for reviewing the many applications. Omg...I got paronoid & started visiting all the banks' websites to chk out cancellation fees & lucky the other one which i've applied already (Maybank) only requires us to pay cancellation fee AFTER we signed the Letter of Offer. But seems like DBS & RHB may work the same way as OCBC. Have sent emails to them to enquire after reading their T&C. I hope not cos it doesnt make sense rite? Of cos ppl would apply & see which bank offers the best rate? Hai...very very troublesome. Lucky i've only applied to SCB & Maybank else god noes how much cancellation fees i have to pay? Consumers are reali at a disadvantage in everything...

Oh..and i've juz order a $25 huat4 kueh4 at Boon Lay market & its abt 5kg. I find the 5kg huat4 kueh4 very small but it'll be crazy to buy the 10kg one, LOL. The auntie asked if we can finish eating anot, LOL.

Went Mustafa Centre to see fridges & washing machines but end up buying a $21 mini vaccum cleaner. To suck the dirt lor, LOL. If Chris nv stop me, i would have bot the cloth, the windscreen cleaner, the leather protector, the wax, the sponge....etc etc etc. LOL. Cos they r all cheap cheap!!!! If only we had more energy, we would have explored more. But Mustafa is juz too damn bloody big.

Oh, the cornices & the main door were finally painted (ceiling haven, lol) but the room i use & Chris's mum's room were un-touched. They felt dat its ok not to. But Chris's mum doesnt feel good & is tinking abt buying the paint herself so dat she can get the rest to help to paint. And she commented dat Chris is very lazy, doesnt help out. Wuhahahaha...none of my biz lor, he's ur son. The room dat i use has also turned into a mini storeroom. I tink Chris doesnt blame me for not staying over anymore. They have rearranged everything & everyone's stuff is now piled up in the room & they r moving the old furniture from ivan+jm's room to the room to make way for...a new mattress mayb..and some new furniture. Cos they wan it to look nice as alot of relatives will gather there b4 the weddin dinner.

Chris's mum followed us juz now as she hasen sat in his car yet. I asked for the spare car key as Chris gave it to his mum for safe-keeping. Helo???? Does it make sense?? It sure doesnt to me. Siao...i juz got him to ask her back for key. She asked me in the lift why i cannot stay over. I juz replied dat i need to go out tml. Chris pulled my hair from behind & started singing, "fakey fakey" LOL. Cant possible tell her, "Cos i hate ur hse, its dirty, it smells & it has ants running ALL over". Sori, im in a bitchy mood :)

i hope to hell dat she will not follow us to open the door. If she does, im calling my parents + ah ma as well. Its only fair dat way. Thou i dun tink so cos she was talking to Chris abt tml as ivan+jm will be opening the door & its cos jm's dad insisted it to be done tml at 12noon and he wans to be there, LOL. She doesnt sound hapi abt it, haha...its not her hse wat rite. But Chris kapoh, wants to join them & see wat they bring to the new house. I was telling him even if they bring ALOT of barang barang to pray & stuff, we wun be doing it wat! Kapoh means kapoh, still give excuses!

Btw, does coffee have more caffine or tea? Can anyone solve this mystery once & for all? -_-

5 More Days

Pretty excited abt keys collection. Chris's bro had collected the keys today but they did not open the door. Heard dat they will do it coming Sunday. Looks like they have consulted The Man (the guy who presumely gave such accurate info & advice dat jm's side of the family will always consult him b4 doing anything) & Sunday is a good day for them.

Me? Ehh..i reali cant wait lar. I will juz open once i get the keys. Heard from them dat the option fee of 2K will be returned to us. No wonder they require us to bring our bank passbook. 2K extra!!!! (yes, its ours anyway in the 1st plc, duh~) I welcome all credits to our bank account. And i still waiting for my $600 chq (after CPF deduct from my medisave for my wisdom tooth surgery). Looks like may only get it in April next yr. Waiting for the $3888 cash rebate (cos new car) & the rebate from car insurance of $750+.

Called OCBC & they told me to apply for their reno loan as interest is only 6.25% for those with annual income above 40K! Now waiting for the form to arrive & meanwhile, will prepare to apply for DBS, Maybank & RHB. SCB sucks...they called to say will only approve 80% of our loan amount & the interest? A staggering 0.78% PER MONTH. Philip, u will not be hearing from me. My ID is rite. SCB is very 'high-class'.

Reali pissed cos due to the extra dent on the old car, we had to top up another $150 on top of the $200 chq dat the biker had issued to Chris. Damn sian..reali spoilt our mood for half a day.

Applied for SCB today as it was the only bank which doesnt require payslips. I tried to print Chris's payslips at the NS website but cant. Knew from Avril dat they have to print themselves at camp from the intranet or something. Stupid..

Something went wrong. Cos i wasen paid in May as AGC wasen able to pay me in time, hence i got double pay in June. But SCB wasen satisfied with my explanation & requested for my lastest payslip. I was like, helo?? Im not even the main applicant!!! And i dun even pay income tax!!! I earn freaking little loh.

Still...the guy is courteous & reminds me of a hair-dryer becos his name is Philip. I duno why but i always associate the brand with hair-dryers loh.

Feeling quite excited abt our new home but also constantly calculating this & dat until sometimes, i reali no mood to do anything else but rot at home cos gg out would juz mean spend $. In fact, i consider a meal of $16 consisting of sambal kang kong & stingray with 3 bowls of rice extravagant. I tink we r eating so much of the uncle's kang kong & stingray dat now, he charges us $12 nia. Wuhahaahah...

Was complaining to this fren dat im now breaking out sibei jialat & duno isit becos of the **** but he sniggered & told me dat its more likely due to my constant sambal kang kong + stingray. He says those r very very heaty food. Must eat with cold cold beer. I duno if he's reali being sincere abt his advice??? So shld i stop my sambal intake or take sambal with beer? But i do notice dat i get NO PIMPLES when i consume a fairly large quantity of beer. But wat i get in return is a big beer belly. How ar? Shld i stop my **** ??? Its been near 3 weeks...no improvement at all.

Im sleepy already. I noe i've been doing nothing but im still sleepy. Gota go catch my slp and hope when i wake up tml, the pimple in my nostril will burst liao. Cos im having running nose as well (happens every single nite) & its v pain lar..cannt clear nose properly cos the pimple in the way but if dun clear, will drip to my lips. Very gross i noe~

I've called up the banks today & understd dat they do not require proof of ownership for application of reno loan, hence...i will be applying full force on Wed ;D Cos i need to photostat this & dat & everything else. Will b trying for OCBC, SCB, RHD & Maybank. Maybank is reali making me confused. I duno isit the calculator on the website is spoilt or my math fail. Based on my comparisions, it seems like Maybank's interest is fixed & not on reducing balance. Any1 can enlighten me on this??! And wat the fuck is Construction Loan? Cos i saw it on UOB & HSBC website. Basically, i've also went thru NTUC, TCC & Citibank as well. Hitachi Credit can forget abt it liao..

Was reading thru the forums & realised HDB takes an average of ONE MONTH to rectify defects. I wonder is there anything i can do to speed it up besides calling HDB like a madman? I reali hope to kai1 gong1 on 20th Nov at the latest.

Well, Chris's car kenna a minor accident last nite but the impact was quite heavy. He came my hse at 6.30am this morn & i could see the freaking dent on the driver's side door!!! I hope Thomas (the car dealer) will not go back on his words as he has promised us the price. But dents will affect the final price..im praying dat his colleague is blind when we pass the car to him coming Sat. The idiot biker who knocked into the car is a 30yr old guy. He made Chris sign an indemnity form (wuhaahahahahaha) to promise dat he will not pursue the matter after he gives Chris a $200 chq. The worst thing was, while they were arguing abt who's fault was it, the guy's dog kept licking Chris's smelly foot, lol. Well..i hope dat if the selling price of this car is affected, it will not go beyond $200. And hope can collect the new car earlier..Its crazy but cos i do feel better with a car as we do need to travel abit to buy stuff & chk out prices.

Have decided the models to buy for hob & hood, washing machine, fridge...and LCD tv (but this item will be the last of the last of the last). Mattress, kitchen sink, tap, heater (storage or instant? I still very gian storage~) duno hw....will look around. Luckily aircon is already included in the package else will die from all the vomitting of cash. Lights, more or less, we noe where to get & compare. Will b visiting an IO's father's furniture shop in Toa Payoh 2..hope to get great discounts there! Im hoping to get a cheap cheap sofa..In fact, the only things im willing to pay more for are the kitchen stuff *gasp* Amazing~

10 more days to keys collection :) (And the wiping out of our CPF account OA & beginning of bills payments for a flat dat we wont be moving in for the time being)

Yep, finally getting my keys on 01/11/2006!!!

Wuahahahahahaa!!! Hapi like bird! Will be sharing the before & after pics, keke...Juz signed the contract today & whew...Will need to msg my ID rite after everything is done next next Wed & hopefully, can start the reno on 20/11/2006. The only irritating thing is, ivan+jm engaged the same ID as me. Oh well...

My reno is a small one so hopefully, can finish fast which my ID assures dat its possible provided HDB is fast enuf to rectify defects (if any) satisfactorily cos some things can be redo by them FOC. Went to see the lights at Chelsea Lightings near Chinese Garden mrt & whoa!!!! Exactly wat we wan :) Simple lights, dats all we want. Plus Chris's dad used to buy all the lights from there b4, so i reckoned its quite safe. But will be gg Kelantan area to chk out prices as well. Chris is damn excited & wanted to chk out the hob & hood rite away, haha, gancheong spider~

Will be viewing the 3D drawings next weekend & hopefully, our reno loan will be approved in full. Whew, another bill to pay.

Something i wana complain abt HDB. I read the package they sent & it nearly scared me & Chris to death cos it says we r only eligible for the 30yr loan. Turns out dat its cos they only assume we have 10% of the selling price of the flat nia. Goodness...Im gg to feedback to them. Its extremely misleading. And it only explain itself at the last page.

Also, im having probs with tagboard. Duno why leh..i cannt see the tags. Can only see a greenish screen blocking out everything. And it happens to other blogs i view as well....zzz...

3am+ plus, i need to go oink..real shag esp after all the excitement, hehe. I cant wait!!!!

At home. And i dun wish to be at anywhere else rite now~

Its been a busy busy week & i swear i tot i was only telling my colleague dat im having Mon blues. And now its Friday! I must treasure tonite. So when Sat comes, it means Sunday comes & it'll mean another whole freaking week at work again.

Im tired most of the time & work is getting much much more. Very fast paced also due to many court hearing dates. Im getting a phobia of fax machines now. Hate it when i hear a fax coming in. Esp those 50 pages type.

Wat shall i do tml? Heard the IOs saying dat Vivo City is crap ;D Cos its not reali opened yet but so many ppl flocked to it. Number of ppl to shops were like 10:1 ? Oh yes, im also still waiting for flat keys.

Dear HDB

I've noticed dat u guys have tried to prevent us from visiting our new block by having the lifts in 'breakdown' mode. Does it mean dat im getting my keys soon? Also, why haven i gotten any confirmation abt my loan? Does dat mean my flat will be FOC? :) Also, my unit has been locked ever since June! U guys r sure everything's ok in there? I've also noticed dat the mrt line construction's pace is reali fast! But pls do it faster (pass msg to errr...LTA? SMRT? etc?) so dat we can use it by CNY? As the area is freaking ulu u noe? I would also recommend that the sport stadium have varous eateries other than Mac & Coffee Bean. NYDC would be good. Fish & Co would be good. And also a Sweet Talk bubble tea shop.

And frankly, trying to expedite the rectifications of defects would not help. Flat owners like me will surely find defects, no matter hw careful u all are. So, may as well juz give us the keys & we'll point our the defects to u ok? I tink its faster this way.

When can I attain Nirvana?

I can only say IM VERY GLAD & THANKFUL FOR NOT HAVING TO STAY WITH HER.

They've decided to repaint the flat so dat it'll look nice & clean for Ivan & jm's wedding day. Heard from Chris dat many ppl will come to the hse (as their own flat will not be ready) hence the big clean up.

Frankly, i can understd why they wan to repaint the hse. In fact, they have already repainted their own room. But to clean up now...its too early reali. The hse will juz turn back into a pig's sty in a week. But to paint the hse, u have to clean up rite? The wedding is on 9th Dec. Isnt it too early? But nvm...

I wasen feeling well & i locked myself in the room to slp. I seriously din tink they will try to paint the hse today. I mean, to clean the freaking flat alone will take ages! Chris came in to join me to slp after dat and we both snooze in bliss until his mum bang on the door. Once the door is opened, pieces after pieces of clothing, bags, plastic bags etc came flying into the room. She started complaining in a loud, high pitched & whiny voice, saying they need to clean the hse & paint somemore & we still stay in the room & slp, hw can they clean up lidat etc etc. She says dat the stuff is Chris's, so dun put outside, put in the room.

I duno if i heard correctly (i wasen feeling well u see..) but i rem her telling me dat the bed in the room dat i always use during the weekends will be thrown away as they have to make space for the wardrobe in ivan & jm's room. I tink they need to 'make' the room bigger so decided to shift the wardrobe to the other room. Cos its impossible to shift to the MBR rite?

I was like, throw the bed?? Ok, i admit, i do not use the bed. In fact, we slp on a thin single-sized mattress on the floor whenever i stay over the nite. Cos the single bed is too small for 2 of us...i dun wan to fall off the bed loh. At least on the floor, we'll juz roll to the floor. But w/o the bed...where can i put the mattress? The pillows, the bolsters? And if the wardrobe is reali gg to take the place of the bed, the wardrobe will totally block the windows. There'll be absolutely no windows already...But...well, who noes, if dat happens, i may dun have to slp over there anymore? :)

Im reali tired whenever i stay over there. Partly is cos im always hungry. Chris always slps till 3, 4 pm b4 he's awake. Its also a reason why we had our dinner at 10pm last nite. This morning, i've nv eaten anything till 3pm until he cooked maggi mee for me. Im sori to sound so pampered but...the kitchen stinks. Everytime i need to use the toilet, i need to hold my breath. Stinky smells + headache = not a good combi. The kitchen smells of decayed food. Its quite bad...

And why do Chris have to ask jm & ivan wat fridge they are buying? End up they noe wat fridge we r buying but he doesnt noe wat they r buying. Pls dun b mistaken dat im curious abt their choice of fridge. But i duno whether to laugh or cry at my own extreme guarded feelings towards them. Dun even want 2 let them noe wat fridge im having! Wuhahaha....am i turning into a mental case??
